Viagra (Sildenafil) is an oral medicine used in the male patients experiencing problems with achieving and maintaining erection, otherwise known as patients suffering from hard forms of erectile dysfunction.

Drug Uses
Viagra is applied for treating male erectile dysfunction, commonly referred to as impotence. Coupled with sexual stimulation, it allows the blood flow into penis thus helping the organism to achieve and maintain erection during sexual intercourse.
How Taken
Patients with erectile dysfunction should take Viagra no later than 30 minutes before the tentative sexual contact. However, the optimal interval between the time of taking the drug and the sexual intercourse is one hour while the maximum interval constitutes 4 hours.
Drug Class and Mechanism
Viagra is a phosphodiesterase inhibitor which helps the blood flow into the penis and thus regaining and maintaining erectile function during sexual intercourse.
Missed Dose
Taking Viagra regularly is not that crucial, as the drug is only taken when there is necessity for it. If you have missed taking Viagra, take it as soon as you remember; if you remember having missed the dose shortly before taking the next scheduled dose, do not take the missed one and restart taking the drug normally skipping the missed dose.
Storage
Viagra should be stored in a cool (temperature must not exceed 25 degrees C, or 77 degrees F) dry place; maximum temperature fluctuation allowance is 15-30 degrees C (59-86). Store Viagra in the container in which it was produced Keep
Warnings/Precautions
To avoid dramatic blood pressure drop, avoid taking Viagra in combination with the following drugs and their components:

Viagra should not be taken in case you are experiencing any of heart diseases which o not permit you lead an active sexual life. Here belong cases of experienced heart attacks and strokes. Do not use Viagra if any of these has happened to you within the previous half a year.

Discontinue using Viagra if you have developed any of the following cardiac symptoms: pain in chest, nausea, dizziness, etc. inform your doctor or any other health care specialist right away.
Possible Side Effects
Using Viagra might result in slight dizziness, stuffed and running nose, stomach disorders, itching, flushing, headaches, and some others. If you feel the need to notify your doctor, do it with the first possibility. However, you should consult the doctor at once if you have developed one of the following side effects: heart irregularities, legs swelling, running out of breath, long-lasting / painful erection, allergic reactions, angina, and severe dizziness.
More Information
People older than 65 may be more exposed to Viagra side effects. As a rule, they are advised to take lower doses of the drug.
